Matthew A. McLain attended Cedarville University, where he received his B.S. in Geology. He then moved to Southern California to pursue his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Loma Linda University. He is currently Associate Professor of Biology and Geology, Chair of the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences, and Interim Dean of the School of Science, Math, Technology, Health, and Engineering at The Master’s University. Dr. McLain is a vertebrate paleontologist, studying dinosaurs and other extinct animals, and he is also the youth pastor at Santa Clarita Baptist Church.
