For the past forty years, Mark and his wife Debbie have devoted themselves to Christian
education and building Christlike character, one story at a time. They have three married
children, a grandson, and hundreds of students whom they continue to mentor and love.
After ten years as a Christian school administrator, Mark founded Lamplighter
Ministries, comprised of Lamplighter Publishing, Lamplighter Theatre, Lamplighter
Guild, Fastened Like Nails podcast, and Lamplighter Moments radio broadcast. Each
platform carries out Lamplighter’s mission of “making ready a people prepared for the
LORD.”
Through The Art of Storytelling, Mark engages the imagination of his audiences by
exposing Folly’s false promises of prosperity, promotion, protection, power, and
addictive pleasure and revealing Wisdom’s eternal promises of freedom, joy,
entrepreneurial success, and regret-free pleasure. Lamplighter publishes over 200 rare
books for all ages and produces redemptive audio dramas, now heard in 33 countries.
Mark is now passionately working on the development of the Lamplighter Academy of
the Arts, Business, and Biblical Theology.
