Truth Changes Everything! How World-Changing Christians Inspire Hope in a Dark Time

  • Our goal in homeschooling is for our children to recognize that God is sovereign and prepare them to rise up to the challenges of life and stand up for justice and others around them.
  • We are not called to change the whole world. God is in charge of the world.
  • Jesus calls us to make the most of every opportunity while we remain in these dark times.

  • Whatever changes or shifts come, disciple on.
  • Homeschooling is the restoration of truth and discipleship.

Deuteronomy 6 Revisited: Beware the Worship of Ease

  • You get to pursue the heart of your children for His glory.
  • The most important thing we can do for our kids is to teach them to love God. So therefore, dare to start the mornings off with the Lord and in His Word.
  • We are called to teach our children intentionally and diligently about God.
  • God is inviting you to partner with Him to do something remarkable. It doesn’t have to do with you feeling equipped or capable because He’ll give you the ability.

Divided Nation: Cultures in Chaos and a Conflicted Church

  • This is not a beautiful world, it’s an ugly world. It was a beautiful world and now it’s a fallen world.
  • As parents, we need to be intentional and diligent about ensuring our children’s education is from a biblical worldview.
  • We need to raise up a generation that thinks foundationally from God’s Word and is equipped with answers.

The Future of Family Freedoms

  • Raise your children to value liberty. If you raise a generation that doesn’t value liberty, they will not stand up for it.
  • The most successful way of passing on your spiritual fervor and identity to your children is for them to see you, their parents, making sacrificial choices because God requires it.
  • Fear is a lot of work. It’s so much easier to walk in confidence before God. So don’t walk in fear. Don’t buy what people are selling. Walk with confidence in Him.

Parenting Formulas, Fads, and the Gospel Foundation of Discipleship: What God Has Taught Us Through the Last 50 Years of Homeschooling

  • It is the sin of pride and selfishness that brought Christ to the cross. Recognizing this in yourself and with your child gives you a chance to talk about everyone’s need for Christ.
  • We need to shift from a model/paradigm of control when our children are young to a paradigm of influence when they are older.
  • A season in a child’s life is not their whole story. There will be messy chapters, and in those times we need to stand vigilant in prayer and trust in Him.
  • God doesn’t hold us accountable for the outcome, He holds us accountable for the process and our obedience to Him.

Common Causes of False CPS Reports and How to Avoid Them

  • Innocent families typically are the ones who are being investigated. This is something we need to be prepared for.
  • As Christians, we are called to foresee evil and prepare for it.
  • The Lord doesn’t call us to live a life of fear, but of power, strength, and a sound mind.

Education in a Relativistic Culture: The Essential Role of Parents in Preserving Truth and Learning for the Next Generation

  • Ultimately, our foundation can’t be reason. It has to be God.
  • We need to ground our children in the confidence that God created this real world for us to know and understand it.
  • One of the most glorious things you can do as a Christian is to engage with others.
  • Right in your home, there is more power than in all the facilities in the world.

Saving Science: Why Christians Matter to the Study of Science

  • We need to be committed to the absolute authority and inerrancy of the Bible. If we are committed to that we can take all the little attacks that come.
  • Science aims to glorify God by knowing His creation and using it to glorify Him and serve our neighbor.
  • It is imperative to the restoration of liberty in this country that parents assume responsibility and take their children out of government schools.
  • The scientific world is losing its rationality as the inherent weakness of the materialist worldview begins to show itself.

Saving History: Why Christians Matter to the Study of History

  • How we tell and understand stories of the past will affect our trajectory of the future.
  • The Bible is filled with the rise and fall of nations to remind us of God’s faithfulness. It reminds us that He brings justice to an unjust world.
  • History teaches us that we should expect that God keeps His promises. We should expect that God honors faithfulness. We should expect covenantal succession.

The Power of Kingdom-Focused Moms

  • God is in this homeschooling thing. God is bigger than the problems you’re having and He wants to use homeschooling in this country. He will protect and guide your family.
  • We can get overwhelmed by the tyranny of the urgent and build up things in our mind that aren’t true.
  • The Lord is faithful to lead us as we wander, to give us purpose and help to fulfill that purpose, and to show us things we never thought we could do.

Taming the Techno Beast

  • Don’t allow your children to be “chained” to their phones — you want them to be ENGAGED in life and in relationships.
  • If you have that small voice saying, “it feels out of control,” that’s the voice of the Lord and you can do something about it. Through Him you will have the strength to fight and stand strong.

  • Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong — but right and almost right.
  • God gave your kids to you for a reason. They need to know that you love them and that you aren’t afraid to have these hard conversations.

Panel Discussion: A Kingdom Career – Preparing Children to Work for Jesus

  • Serving fused with holy boldness opens up doors to new opportunities in life. Sitting around just waiting won’t open any doors.
  • There is an art to learning how to learn and homeschooling cultivates the perfect environment to do so.
  • Don’t succumb to the philosophy that work is a drudgery. Work is a blessing and joy we get to use to bless others.

Responding to Wokeism With the Gospel

  • Christians may use biblical words, but these words can be infused with a different meaning. For example, justice, which we are called to, is very different from social justice.
  • We have the opportunity to educate our children on the dangers of Marxism, to equip and prepare them, and to walk them through history properly to help them understand Marxism correctly.
  • We need to identify false ideologies, mark them, oppose them, and destroy them!

Why Zoom “Church” Won’t Work … Now … Or Ever

  • God always brings His people together because it creates a closer, intimate relationship with Him and with others.
  • When you’re engaged in a local church (worshiping, listening, praying, etc.), there is a spiritual power in the room that cannot be achieved elsewhere.
  • Pray for the Lord to restimulate a longing for Him through the church.

Raising the Next Generation of Hudson Taylors

  • We are training our children to be all in for Jesus so that they are ready to die for Him, ready to suffer for Him. All with a smile on their face.
  • We often feel like we are falling short and aren’t doing enough. When this happens, Jesus doesn’t rebuke us for our faults and failures. Rather, He corrects us and reminds us of who He is and what He has done.
  • Don’t buy the enemy’s lie that the world is coming to an end and there’s no hope for the church. Counter his lies with biblical truth.
  • This is our hour, this is what we are built for. This is a time for us to shout praise and sing louder than we’ve ever sung. This is a time for Christians to rise up and shine Jesus.

Plant Gardens: Every Reason for Optimism, Hope, and Generational Faith for the Future

Our Hosts

Daniel & Megan

Daniel & Megan Craig first started homeschooling about 25 years ago … well, their parents did! As homeschool grads, they are enthusiastic about home education, discipleship, and the church, and they take that into their daily life. Together, they desire to raise their family (three little ones so far!) to know and love Christ wholeheartedly in the context of daily family relationships, and they are grateful for every opportunity to share that passion with others!

Todd & Jessie

Todd and Jessie are committed to raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, seeing the importance of strengthening future generations for the work of the Kingdom. They’ve been homeschooling their 8 children for the past 18 years, and just graduated their first child last year. Todd also serves as a pastor of their local church.

Brandee

Brandee and her cowboy husband, Roy, are fourth-generation ranchers. Their prayer as they raise their four cowpoke sons is that they will grow up to be warriors for Christ who are passionate about learning. Brandee considers it a joy to speak truth with love and laughter for other parents on the same homeschooling journey!

Questions?

Super simple – we do the work for you and send you an email each morning of the event. You can click the link in the email to view the schedule for the day, then click the video you’d like to see. Videos are available to view for free for 24 hours from their scheduled launch time, so even if you miss the launch you still have time to catch up. (Each session is about 45 minutes long, and you can watch from your computer, smart TV, or mobile device.)

No problem! We’ve created the All-Access Pass option; when you upgrade, nothing expires – which means you can watch and rewatch that super-helpful session and soak in all the tips. Click here to upgrade.
Yep, for sure! The exhibit hall, discounts, and videos listed for free on this page are all just that – no cost to you and no strings attached. (You can opt to register for an All-Access Pass to get even more exclusive video content, but that’s up to you.)
The keynotes are broadcast on Facebook, but they’re also on our website, and all other video sessions are right here too. We encourage you to connect with us via Facebook to participate in some great discussion & fun giveaways, but it’s not required.

We’re so glad you asked! Homeschool Summits is a project brought to you by CHEC and Generations, both non-profit organizations based in Colorado that exist to help parents raise their children to love and serve God. CHEC is a Colorado-based organization that defends homeschool freedom and helps families to homeschool with confidence. (Learn more here.) Generations is a national organization that offers a daily radio program, family events, curriculum, and more. (Learn more here.) Together, they are working to bring Homeschool Summits to your home.

Sure! If you’d like to market this event through your own online platform and receive 50% earnings, learn more here.

Or, if you’d like to learn more about being an exhibitor or speaker, click here.

Short answer = nope! We ARE pulling together a fantastic lineup of speakers and even shopping options, but it won’t replace attending your local homeschool conference. We highly recommend checking with your state organization (find a list here) for more information about their conferences. As awesome as this summit will be, we still believe that the in-person networking of a local conference is invaluable!
If you decide to upgrade your free event registration to an All-Access pass, you will be eligible to receive continuing education credit.
