Davis and Rachael were married in 1986, and God has blessed them with seven children and three grandchildren. Davis is an international speaker and advocate for home education and has a degree in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree from Purdue University. Rachael is a twenty-six-year homeschool veteran who is still energized by affirming, encouraging, and equipping the next generation of homeschooling families to answer the call. She and her husband, Davis, own Apologia Educational Ministries, a leading publisher of award-winning, creation-based curricula for home educators. They live in Waxhaw, North Carolina, where they enjoy the homeschooling adventure of a lifetime, complete with roller-coaster twists and turns and the occasional lazy river ride.
